Music, Mathematics & Language

-    Through the lens of data -

June.  28 (Wed) ~ June. 29 (Thu), 2023

GMT+9, Korea

ㅣ Workshop Rationale

The intersection of music, mathematics, and language is a fascinating and complex area of research that has the potential to yield significant insights and breakthroughs. Corpus methods and data-driven approaches are particularly well-suited to this area of research because, by analyzing large corpora of musical and linguistic data, researchers can identify patterns and connections that would be difficult or impossible to detect through other methods. Additionally, data-driven approaches allow researchers to test hypotheses and develop new insights in a rigorous and systematic manner. The workshop would bring together researchers from a variety of disciplines, including musicology, linguistics, and mathematics, to explore the intersections between these fields. By bringing together researchers from a variety of disciplines and exploring the latest research in this area, the workshop will help to catalyze new research and collaborations, leading to a deeper understanding of the connections between music, mathematics, and language.
